SO here are some songs for you. I'm just gonna write the artist and title, no videos because I'm too lazy to look 'em up.
Justin Timberlake - Drink You Away / I know some of you might not like JT but that doesn't mean you can't like one of his songs. I think this is one of the best songs on The 20/20 Experience. It's not like any of his other songs he made so far. So just give it a chance. Or don't, I don't really care you're obviously still reading this because you wanna know more new songs/music so do something with it. Thanks.
The Gracious Few - Honest Man / This is an older song, it was released somewhere in 2010 I believe. Not many people know the band or the song, which is why I put it on here. It's an amazing song. I've listened to it a million times and every time it comes on I am amazed by how good it actually is, even though I already knew.
Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know? / I know I'm a little late on the Arctic Monkeys hype but I seriously did not really get this song until last week. I do know and it's stuck in my head 24/7, which I don't mind at all. If you don't know the song yet; go listen to it. Or if you do and you don't like it; give it a second chance. Listen to it when you're in a different mood.
Stromae - Merci / You may know Stromae from his latest songs "Papaoutai" and "Formidable" but I like this song a little more than I like the others. The minute you hear it you kinda get lost in the beat and you wonder what's gonna follow. If you don't know Stromae & his music, you are in for a little surprise. His music is inventive and refreshing. Listen to more, where you actually hear him singing. You probably don't understand a fuck of what he's saying, I don't either, but maybe you like his voice. He sounds really convincing and devoted.
Kings of Leon - Supersoaker / This song had my attention right away. I must admit, I am in love with the Kings of Leon. I've seen them play live twice, many people called their performance boring but that was because they hardly interacted with the audience. Of course bands should do that when they're on a festival, I can't blame people for saying that. But man, they are such a great band. They are passionate about what they do, they are talented and if you already like the band and you see them live THERE'S NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY REALLY. I don't want to spend 10 minutes listening to a singer or guitar player talking shit, talking 'bout how they got up there and what the songs are about. I want to listen to the music and SEE that they're STILL working hard to stay up there. I want to listen to the song and figure out what the meaning of that song is, and how I can adjust them to the situations I am in. I want to relate, I want to feel their energy and feel that they WANT to be there to play MUSIC and not to talk 10 minutes of shit to play a 4 minute song. Kings of Leon deliver, without all the bullshit. Plain and simple, yet so good and honest. Mechanical Bull is an incredible album which proves they don't need tricks to seperate themselves from any other bands. Kings of Leon are not going to convince you how good they are by telling you they are and kissing your ass, they are going to convince you of how good they are by playing music THEY love and THEY wanna play. (Don't argue with me on this subject I will take all the oxygen away from you ssh)
John Legend - All of Me / My friend Luka did a cover of this song before I heard the original. Her channel is LukaHummel, go check it out, she's only just getting started but so great already! - Alright. A few weeks ago I heard the original for the first time. I like cheesy songs about love and shit. I like them so I had to like this song. The lyrics sound very corny but they are good. If you're not in love, you might FEEL like you're in love after listening to this song.
John Mayer - Born and Raised / Many people do not like the album Born and Raised. I get why, it's a little different from what JM fans are used to.. But the lyrics to this song are relatable, I think everyone can relate at least at one point in their lives. "One of these days you'll be born and raised and it all comes on without warning" - If you say you have never related to that sentence you are lying. Or you're a robot. This song calms me down because it's making me realize I'm not the only one who feels like that.
Neil Young - Long May You Run / OF COURSE I could not forget Neil Young in this blog. Long May You Run is a song about a car (obviously not just A car, a great car). Honestly, I've never felt more related to a song about a car. If you're really passionate about your car; you might wanna listen to this song. And if you decide to listen to it even though you use your bicycle more than your car; don't be ashamed if you think of a friend during this song.
Foo Fighters - Arlandria / When I first heard Wasting Light, I immediately fell in love with this song. And I can't help but fall in love again every time I hear it. Therefor you should listen to it as well and allow yourself to fall in love. You can give your heart away to another song right after but this song will win your heart over whenever you press play again. You might wanna see a therapist if you don't fall in love with it, alright.
